“My Hurricane” is a fun, poppy track about that person in your life that gives you a spark! They bring a healthy amount of chaos into your life, and you love them for it.  It’s such a strange concept to explore and explain in words.. I guess that’s why I wrote a song about it :D

This EP is a musical celebration of life, vibrancy, and seizing the day! I think that life is beautiful and is meant to be enjoyed. Go out and do something that you’ve never done, eat some food that you’ve never tried, and do the thing that you’ve always been afraid of trying! After completing this collection of songs, I just pictured myself riding in a convertible car on a sunny day with my beautiful partner next to me with huge smiles across our faces.

“Greens In The Trees” is about the beauty of diversity of opinion and perspective. People can look at a tree and see different shades of green, or a million shades of of blue in the ocean. Maybe the ultimate truth is reached by sharing our unique perspectives. I think humanity is the greatest artwork of all time.

I wanted “Test Drive” to have a laid back, jamming-around-the-campfire kind of vibe, so I knew it had to be bouncy and a little bit repetitive. The predictable nature of the structure of the song makes it fun and easy to dance to, without taking itself too seriously.

“My Angel” is a fun little reggae dancehall song about love and romance. It’s a catchy tune that you can just dance and wind down to. This song is very unique because I wrote it on the bass guitar! I started off by making a catchy reggae beat and then I picked up my bass and made the main line.

“A Day Like This” is a musical journey about all of the things that can happen in a single day. I wanted this song to take the listener to many different places; from home, to chaos, to an embrace of the chaos, all the way back to a peaceful place that feels just like home. “A Day Like This” had a very long and extensive writing process because I wrote it over the course of several days.

“In This Life” is a song about the love of my life, Angeliki, and how I’ve subconsciously done so many things to try and screw up everything that I’ve ever wanted. Self sabotage is real. The writing process for “In This Life” was at times effortless and at other times extremely tedious. I put a lot of pressure on myself to make this song a perfect representation of my skills as a vocalist, electric guitarist, and saxophonist.

“Expressions In The Dark” is about all of the words and thoughts that are unsaid between two people when they are attracted to each other and look into each other’s eyes. So much can be said without saying anything at all. I wrote this song several years ago, and never thought of releasing it to the public. In my mind it was always too short, too simple, and no matter how many times I listened to it, I always heard something wrong with it.

"The Island, Pt. 1 (Dawn)" is actually a cover of a song by Pendulum that was released back in 2010. The original is a total EDM banger that always gets me hype and puts me in the best mood. One day I came up with this crazy idea of doing acoustic versions of EDM songs just to hear how they'd sound. I toyed with how I wanted to actually play the chords to make my cover unique from the 4/4 beat of the original house tune, and I hope you enjoy it!

“Saxo Love” is about my complete and total admiration for the saxophone in all aspects. This song is about the fact that I have had nothing but positive experiences because of the sax. I’ve had the opportunity to travel the world, earn money, support myself and my family, and spread insane amounts of joy to friends and strangers because of this instrument. I know so many people that are passionate about playing and listening to the saxophone that I felt we needed an anthem.

“Hangover.” is about the honeymoon phase of a romantic relationship coming to an end. Sort of like when you’re drunk and the euphoria of the alcohol starts to wear off. You become hungover, you get a headache, and begin to see reality clearly. When you first fall in love with someone, it’s a magical moment where anything is possible and the person is perfect. But once time passes, you begin to see the flaws, the imperfections—the reality.

My full length studio album “I Am Charlez360” released on 1.1.23 and I couldn’t be more excited!!! My goal with this album was to make the best saxophone music I’ve ever made. I wanted to discover my own personal limits on the saxophone while creating fun, genre-defying music that will make you dance. This album included an extensive writing process, hours of recording and planning, and dozens of sleepless nights.
